Summer Learning

Research suggests that students who do not engage in some type of academically focused activity during the summer months return to school without the same degree of academic proficiency that they had at the end of the preceding school year, often referred to as "summer learning loss." The fact is that many of the students are not provided with academically engaging opportunities due to a lack of resources available to them during the summer. Though this is not an exhaustive list nor a substitute for the learning that occurs in a classroom, the following online resources may assist with students' engagement and possible enrichment during what remains of the summer break:
