Welcome back, Westwood!

It is wonderful to see our students back at school and the new faces of those who are joining us this year. There are a number of exciting opportunities at Westwood Elementary to learn this year, both in the classroom and beyond. With these great opportunities, we are all working diligently to embrace an important idea: "Every day matters."

You might see our sign on Oakdale Street that reads, "At WES, every day matters. Let's prove it!"

In order to have a wonderful year, it is important that we focus on each and every day of which that year is made, even in the summer and on weekends. Every day matters for our academic, socio-emotional, and spiritual development. As a Westwood family, let's all work together to demonstrate how much every day matters for our students, teachers, staff, and parents at Westwood by not just talking the talk, but truly walking the walk that proves it.

Kindly,

Thomas Fuhrman

Westwood Elementary Principal
